installation (Firefox 140+):

  1. Click the Firefox (.xpi) button above
  2. Firefox will ask you to confirm the install — click Add
  3. The LaterVault icon will appear in your toolbar

The add-on is signed by Mozilla and updates itself automatically.

installation (Chrome, Edge, Brave):

  1. Download and extract the .zip file
  2. Open your browser and go to chrome://extensions
  3. Enable Developer mode (toggle in top-right corner)
  4. Click Load unpacked and select the extracted folder
  5. The LaterVault icon will appear in your toolbar

first-time setup:

  1. Click the LaterVault extension icon
  2. Go to Settings and enter your API token (get one below in API Tokens)
  3. Save — you're ready to bookmark!

Firefox keyboard shortcut: Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+\ needs Firefox 149 or newer. On older versions use the toolbar icon.

bookmarklet

Save any page to LaterVault with one click. Drag the button below to your browser's bookmarks toolbar.

how to use:

  1. Drag the "Save to LaterVault" button above to your browser's bookmarks/favorites bar
  2. When you're on a page you want to save, click the bookmarklet
  3. A popup window will open with the URL and title pre-filled
  4. Add tags, notes, and save!

Note: You need to be logged in to LaterVault for the bookmarklet to work.

Tip: If your bookmarks bar is hidden, you can usually show it by pressing Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+B (Mac).
